Macular Degeneration Surgery

Your macula is responsible for what you see right in front of you, helping you to see fine detail.

What happens first?

Treatment for macular degeneration should be sought as soon as possible, to reduce any further deterioration in your vision. During a consultation with one of our surgeons, they will ask you some questions and examine your eyes to analyse the degeneration. It will also give you the chance to ask any questions you have about the surgery and the recovery period.
What is Macular Degeneration?
Most common in over 65s, degeneration can result in blurred or distorted vision, and shapes appearing unusually. The symptoms progress over time causing decreased central vision and visual distortions. For some forms of macular degeneration, treatments are available to slow down or stop the condition’s development.
